Forensic Accounting Director – Intellectual Property (US-Based)

Are you an experienced Forensic Accounting leader with a deep expertise in Intellectual Property (IP)? I’m working with a globally recognized advisory firm seeking a Forensic Accounting Director to lead complex IP disputes and provide high-level advisory services.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of intellectual property cases, including patent infringement, trade secret litigation, trademark disputes, and royalty examinations. As a director, you’ll be managing teams, delivering expert analysis, and guiding clients through high-stakes legal proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead forensic investigations focused on IP disputes, including assessing lost profits, reasonable royalties, and damages
• Serve as a key expert, providing testimony and preparing expert reports
• Oversee complex royalty audits and licensing agreement reviews
• Collaborate closely with legal teams, corporate clients, and stakeholders to drive successful outcomes in litigation
• Manage and mentor junior forensic accountants, building and maintaining a high-performing team

What We're Looking For:

• 10+ years of experience in forensic accounting, with a focus on intellectual property disputes
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams on high-profile cases
• CPA, CFE, CFA, or other relevant certifications preferred
• Proven experience delivering expert testimony and detailed financial reports
• A book of business in the forensic accounting or IP space is a strong advantage
