Audit Manager – Stuttgart, Germany
 
My client, a leading urban infrastructure and technology company, is seeking to hire a hands-on Audit Manager to plan and lead the financial and operational audits of all areas of the business.
 
Reporting to the Head of Audit, you’ll lead a small team of auditors and have the opportunity to collaborate with their business units and divisions across Europe. This is a hybrid role based in Stuttgart, Germany.

Responsibilities:
  • Audit Planning and Management: You will be responsible for planning financial, operational, and compliance audits.
  • Audit Execution: You will conduct detailed testing and analysis of processes, controls, and transactions. You will also evaluate internal policies and business processes for compliance and efficiency, assessing the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Risk Assessment and Internal Controls: You will support risk management processes and internal control systems, critically evaluating identified risks.
  • Collaboration: You will assist other auditors and work with business units and divisions across Europe to educate stakeholders on established procedures and controls to minimise risk.
  • Continuous Improvement: You will proactively contribute to designing and developing innovative audit approaches, such as those based on AI or data analytics, to reduce risks and ensure continuous improvement.

Essential Skills:
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with an assertive personality and a results-oriented approach.
  • A great team player
  • Fluency in Business English is essential, fluency in German is preferable
  • A degree in business administration, finance, or a related field, along with at least five years of practical professional experience in auditing (e.g., Big 4) or internal process auditing.
  • Relevant professional qualifications such as CIA or CRMA are desirable but not required.
